What to Expect

Having your MRI performed at Wilson Regional MRI is both pleasant and comfortable. Our competent, trained staff is interested in you as a person, not just another task. We will explain the entire procedure to you, answer any questions you have, and put you totally at ease.

Our Open MRI allows you to dismiss those images of a tunnel-like devise. The openness of the machine relaxes you. You can actually see what is going on around you. And the MRI room is brightly decorated, and it even has windows!

You will be asked to lie upon the table that is attached to the MRI machine while the technician makes adjustments. Then, you will be asked be very still while the pictures are taken. A series of pictures will be taken so that your doctor can have the best information possible for diagnosis and treatment. While the various positions are being taken, you will hear a humming sound, but you will experience no pain or any other sensations.

Our MRIs are so relaxing that it is not uncommon for a patient to doze off during the procedure!
